BULA!

OUR STORY
Bulashirt was born in Sydney but shaped by the colour, warmth, and spirit of Fiji and the Pacific.
What began as a personal love for island prints grew into a way for us to share the feeling of home. Sun on your skin, salt in the air, and the effortless joy of island life.
Our childhoods in Fiji taught us that clothing is more than fabric; it’s identity, connection, and culture woven into something you can carry with you.
Bula Shirt is our way of honouring that heritage while reimagining it for modern life in Australia and beyond. We create shirts that feel relaxed, welcoming, and unmistakably Pacific, made to be worn on beaches, in cities, and across the world.
OUR ROOTS
The Pacific has always been a bridge - between people, stories, and places.
Fiji sits at the heart of that connection, and Bula Shirt sits at the intersection of our Pacific upbringing and our Australian present.
Our designs draw from the blues of the ocean, the geometry of masi (tapa), the bold florals of tropical life, the rhythm of our coastal cities, and the calm of village days.
These influences come together in prints that celebrate where we come from and where we are now. Bula Shirt honours the Pacific Way: relaxed, colourful, grounded in community, and generous in spirit.
And as Pacific culture continues to resonate globally, we’re proud to share a piece of it through shirts created for everyday wear.
SUSTAINABLE BY DESIGN
We believe Pacific values include caring for the world around us. That’s why every Bula Shirt is designed in Australia and made to order to avoid waste, reduce excess stock, and ensure every piece is created with intention.
Your shirt takes up to 14 days because it’s made specifically for you. This slower, more mindful approach means less environmental impact and a more conscious way of creating clothing.
We continue to prioritise thoughtful material choices and low-waste processes, while exploring new ways to tread lightly on the planet we all share.
Sustainability isn’t just policy for us, it’s part of the Pacific worldview: respect the land, respect the ocean, and leave things better than you found them.
